+10 Years of Expertise In The Industry
Green Gourmet has been around since 2013. A lot has happened since then. Below you will find a timeline of milestones in our company’s history.
The History of Green Gourmet
2025
Expansion of exports to Asia via online and health market Amazon is gaining momentum and is cementing itself. Production lines are being expanded accordingly. PCT patent application placed internationally.

2024
Strong development in sales via online sales in the EU and in Asian markets via doctors/clinics and pharmacy sales.
Development of online sales via Amazon EU is showing positive results – after a long period of sales.
2023
Based on the results of clinical projects at Aarhus University Hospital, we filed a patent application for the product process and effect of consuming KaLOHAS® – with a view to expanding sales as an organic food for functional treatment.
Initial experiences from Asian markets strongly support that the healthcare sector will become our primary sales channel in the future.

2022
Our project “From Healthy Food to Nutritional Ingredient” revealed important findings regarding the content of bioactive compounds, of which Synaptic acid may be the primary driver behind the GLP-1 induction of KaLOHAS®, see White Papers. Publication to follow.
This may facilitate food intake reduction, improve insulin resistance and stabilize blood sugar levels – important factors for maintaining a healthy metabolism.
Excellent results from consumers in China led us to create a sales channel on www.amazon.de/greengourmet and other retail product channels.
2021
A clinical project at Aarhus University demonstrates an important scientific thesis on positive effects on diabetes-2 patients after taking KaLOHAS® on GLP-1 secretion, blood sugar levels and LDL cholesterol – see White Papers. Publication to follow.

2019 – 2020
In vitro project from Foulum at Aarhus University PhD Yuan Yue demonstrates a highly ingestible content of synaptic acids. These findings reveal the potential of KaLOHAS® kale powder to induce GLP-1 secretion in vitro, suggesting its potential role in promoting reduced food intake, improving insulin resistance and stabilizing blood sugar levels. The high sinapic acid content of KaLOHAS® may contribute to it’s superior bioactivity compared to competing kale powder products. Further studies are needed to elucidate the precise mechanisms underlying the enhanced GLP-1 induction by sinapic acids and the long-term effects of KaLOHAS® consumption on metabolic health. Publication to follow.
Market developments during COVID prompted us to test online e-commerce with Tmall in China with promising results.
2018
In vitro evidence for secretion of the GLP-1 hormone is being obtained at Aarhus University (Foulum).
Out of 14 different health-promoting products, turmeric, ginger, fennel, beetroot, wheatgrass etc., KaLOHAS® kale showed the most promising results for secretion of the GLP-1 hormone after consume.
It was then decided to proceed with the results and find confirmation of this through further tests – Yuan Yue, PhD. was hired so that this work could be continued.

2017
Initiation of scientific studies with the aim of obtaining documentation of effects on lifestyle diseases and sales to the nutritional and cosmetics segment.
Export of KaLOHAS® for retail and bulk to Malaysia and Dubai will also be established.
2016
Process and export development of dried kale powder and leaves for sale to industry in Japan and Taiwan has been established – first real sale to Japan received January 2016.

2015
The product was registered in Japan, Taiwan and China and prepared for export – and the domestic market.
2014
After the production and market maturation process for the product KaLOHAS® bioactive kale powder, the product was trademark registered and real test productions and consumer tests were carried out.
Complete organoleptic and technical specifications were determined and process descriptions were completed.
The company obtained certified exporter status for the product.

2013
Green Gourmet is established as an export company for Danish high-quality food to Japan.
Among the core products are; salt, chocolate and salmon. Chocolate and heather-smoked salmon in particular are attractive in the market.
