Company History

10 Years of Excellence In The Industry

Since 2013, Green Gourmet has existed. Since then a lot has happened. Below you will find a timeline of milestones of our company history.

The History of Green Gourmet

2013

Green Gourmet is established as an export company for Danish high-quality food to Japan.

Among the core products are; salt, chocolate and salmon.

2014

Following the production and market maturation process of the product KaLOHAS® bioactive kale powder and KaLOHAS® bioactive kale leaves. The product was registered in Japan and prepared for export – and the domestic market.

2015

Following the production and market maturation process of the product KaLOHAS® bioactive kale powder and KaLOHAS®bioactive kale leaves. The product was registered in Japan and prepared for export – and the domestic market.

2016

Process and export development of dried bulk kale powder and leaves for sale to industry in Japan and Taiwan is established.

2017

Initiation of scientific studies with a view to obtaining evidence of effects on lifestyle diseases and sales to the nutrition and cosmetics segment.

Also, export of KaLOHAS® for retail and bulk to Malaysia and Dubai is established.

2018

In vitro evidence for secretion of the GLP-1 hormone at Aarhus University (Foulum) is achieved.

2019

Clinical project at Aarhus University evidenced important scientific thesis on positive effects on diabetes 2 patients after intake of KaLOHAS on GLP1 secretion, blood-sugar levels, LDL cholesterol–see White Papers. Publication to follow.

Market development during COVID made us test online e-commerce with Tmall, China with promising results.

2021

Our project “From Healthy Food to Nutritional Ingredient” came out with important results relating to contents of the bioactive compounds amongst which Synaptic could be the prime driver of behind the GLP1-induction of KaLOHAS see White Papers. Publication to follow.

This could facilitate reduced food intake, improved insulin resistance stable blood glucose levels –essential factorsin maintaining metabolic health
